Thelma Buabeng

Thelma Buabeng, born 1981 in Ghana, attended the Schauspielschule Der Keller in Cologne and completed her formal training at the Filmschauspielschule Berlin in 2009. She began her career with performances in films on television and in the cinema, including the ZDF multi-part Das Adlon. A family saga, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, Tod den Hippies! Long live the punk, Heil and many appearances on Tatort. Thelma Buabeng worked with Nicolas Stemann for the first time in the 2014 production of Charges (the Supplicants) at Thalia Theater Hamburg (invited to the Berlin Theatertreffen), and who now joins her in Zurich. In 2016, she performed in Meteorites, by Sasha Marianna Salzmann at Maxim Gorki Theater Berlin, in Faust under the direction of Frank Castorf in 2017 at Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz and in Les Misérables at Berliner Ensemble. In 2018, she could be seen at Schauspielhaus Bochum in White People's Problems / The Evil Dead (directed by Benny Claessens). Thelma Buabeng has run her own YouTube comedy series since 2016, Tell Me Nothing from the Horse, in which she also plays herself.
