Frances Chiaverini

Frances Chiaverini, born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is a Performer, Activist, Choreographer. She was a member of The Forsythe Company in its final seasons, she has worked with Adam Linder in the US and UK, and was a choreographic consultant for Anne Imhof for works at The Venice Biennale, Buchholz Gallerie, MoMa PS. 1, Pompidou, Hamburger Bahnhof in Berlin, Art Basel, and La Biennale de Montréal. In 2019/20 she is a Resident Fellow at NYU’s Center for Ballet and the Arts. While a 2016-18 Fellow at Pact Zollverein Choreographic Center and with writer Robyn Doty, she co-founded Whistle While You Work, a public interface for calling out sexism, discrimination, and abuse at work in dance and performance-related fields. Currently Frances is appearing in new works with and by Luisa Saraiva and Trajal Harrell who invited her to join the Schauspielhaus Zurich Dance Ensemble in 2019.
